CCAE Policies and Terms and Conditions

CCAE Policies and Terms and Conditions

Tuition

Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration. Payment can be made with credit card, cash, check, or money order. Please make checks payable to CCAE. There is a $30 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds.

Registration Fee

An $8 registration fee is charged for any class whose tuition exceeds $25.

Only one registration fee is charged per person per term. The registration fee is not refundable if you withdraw from a class.

The fee is refunded if CCAE cancels your class or if CCAE’s changes to the class schedule prevent you from attending. This does not apply to individual classes rescheduled due to inclement weather or other significant factors beyond CCAE’s control.

Minimum Enrollment

All CCAE classes have enrollment minimums and limits. CCAE reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient registration.

Waitlist

If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email and must follow the link included in that email, where you will then be required to pay online by credit card. You will have 12 hours from receiving this email to register before the spot opens for another person on the waitlist. If you would like to use an existing course credit or a gift certificate to pay for the class, you must first pay by credit card, and then email us at info@ccae.org and we will refund you the amount of the course credit or gift certificate you are applying towards that class.

Registration Confirmation

All students receive an emailed registration confirmation for each class they register for. All students are responsible for carefully reading the registration confirmation, which includes details about the class start date and may include other information such as class location or required supplies. Students are responsible for contacting the registration office if they have any questions or concerns about this confirmation email. Please check your spam folder if you do not see this email in your inbox.

CCAE does not send reminders about the class after this confirmation, so please be sure to add the class to your personal calendar.

Withdrawing From a Class

If you withdraw seven days or more before the start date of a class, we will issue you a class credit (valid for 18 months from the date of issuance). If you prefer, we will refund the class tuition minus a $10 processing fee. All refund requests must be submitted within 90 days of purchase. Withdrawals from classes and events under $25 are only eligible for a class credit; no refunds are given. If you withdraw six days or less from the start date of a class, we do not issue class credits or refunds.

Transferring to Another Class

You may transfer into a different class if you contact us at least three business days before the start of the class. If the new class costs more than your old class, you will be asked to pay the difference. If your new class costs less than your old class, you will receive a non-refundable credit on your account for the difference.

Cancellation and/or Schedule Changes

CCAE reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment or other considerations. If we cancel your class, you will receive a class credit good for 18 months from the date of issuance or, upon your request, a refund. Please call our registration office to request a refund. All refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of class cancellation.

If CCAE changes the class schedule before the class begins such that you are unable to attend, you may receive a refund or a class credit upon request if you contact us before the withdrawal deadline.

This does not apply to individual classes rescheduled due to inclement weather, other significant factors beyond CCAE’s control.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance is available on a rolling basis. For information on our scholarships please visit our scholarship program page or contact the registration office at info@ccae.org.

Single Admissions (In-Person Classes Only)

To try out a class, single admissions may be purchased for most classes at the time of the class (space permitting). You may not use a single admit toward classes with fewer than five sessions, food and wine classes, Studio School classes, boot camps, events, off-site classes, and classes with tuition less than $50. Prices range from $18 to $45. These tickets do not reserve a space in the class. If you decide to register for the remainder of the class, the remaining balance of the tuition will be due at the time of registration. You may only apply one single admit once per class.

Make-Ups & Weather Cancellations

CCAE will offer make-up date(s) for classes postponed by holidays, instructor’s request, or extreme weather conditions. Please check our website for storm cancellation updates. Students may not make up absences by attending classes other than the class for which they are registered.

Liability

Student participation in a CCAE program, class, or activity is entirely voluntary. These activities, classes, and programs may have involve some inherent risk. By enrolling and participating in a CCAE program, class, or activity, a student waives, releases, and holds harmless CCAE and its employees, board members, and agents from any and all liability for any accident or negligence in connection with, arising out of, or resulting from participation in these programs, classes, or activities, including liability for property damage or personal injury, disability, and death, unless such liability arises solely from the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of CCAE’s authorized agents.

Policy of Nondiscrimination

CCAE welcomes students of any race, color, sexual orientation, religion, disability, gender expression, and national or ethnic origin, and does not discriminate in the administration of and admission to its educational programs.

Accessibility

For questions about accessibility, please email us at info@ccae.org or call 617-547-6789. Upon request, we will attempt to provide accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities. Please give as much notice as possible. We will refund your payment if accommodation is not available.

Guarantee to Our Students

Our goal is to provide high-quality programs to the community we serve. While we are proud of the fact that most of our students report a high level of satisfaction with our classes, we recognize our responsibility to those whose class did not fulfill their legitimate expectations. If you feel that your class was not satisfactory, or you are not satisfied that the class delivered what was promised, please reach out to Student Services by emailing info@ccae.org. Your email should include your feedback on the class, and for multi-week classes, it must be received before the third session meets.

Typographical Errors

CCAE reserves the right to correct the listed price of a class or other errors due to catalog or website misprints.

Photos

We may occasionally take pictures of students in our classes for use in promotional materials. Your enrollment in a class indicates your approval for this.

Online Class Policies

Online classes take place on Zoom. If you are unsure if you are able to use Zoom or if your camera and microphone work, we recommend testing it out by joining a test meeting before your class starts at zoom.us/test. The Zoom link and information on how to join will be emailed to you. Please also check your spam folder. If you register within 12 hours before the class begins or after the first date, please contact zoom@ccae.org for the link.

Technical Support

Students may contact our registration office at 617-547-6789 ext. 1, or zoom@ccae.org for technical assistance. Support will be available during all underway classes. Check ccae.org for up-to-date office hours.

Online Class Expectations

Classes will take place on Zoom. Do not share the Zoom meeting invitation and link with anyone who is not registered for the class. Classes will take place at the time they are scheduled. We cannot provide recorded classes if you are not able to attend the class at the time scheduled. One registration is for one person. If you are planning to invite your spouse, partner, or friend to attend this online class with you,
please sign up for an additional seat. For the security of our instructors and students, please do not record the class. Please do not take photos of the class without the permission of the instructor and
the other students.

In-Person Class Policies

We require that students enrolled in in-person spring classes are vaccinated against COVID-19. Our staff is 100% vaccinated. Please check our website for any updates to these policies.
