Von Beckford

Von Beckford [M.A. English/B.A. English (minor Creative Writing), Cum Laude/A.A. English, High Honors] a Cambridge native, received his M.A. from UMASS Boston, where he began his teaching career as an English/Literature professor. Some of his favorite teaching texts included works by authors like Charlotte Perkins-Gilman, Manuel Munoz, and Willa Cather. He is particularly interested in exploring and exposing the voices of those - racially, sexually, culturally, (etc.) - who have historically been silenced or overlooked. He teaches critical reading and writing and multimodal communication at Bentley University.
