Designed for the "drawing challenged," this class will help you move past your inhibitions and teach you some basic techniques of drawing. We'll focus on learning to really see and how to get that down on paper. The emphasis will be on the process and not the result in this nonjudgmental classroom environment.

Instructor

Ellen Stutman

Ellen Stutman is primarily a landscape painter and works with oils, oil pastel and ink. She has a B.F.A. in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute; and M.F.A.s in Painting and Art Education from Boston University. She has taught at CCAE for many years, such introductory courses as "Painting as Self-Expression," "Who Says You Can't Draw?" and "Sculptural Play," with an emphasis on process rather than product.
