Public Speaking

Maximize your personal effectiveness. Learn to be an organized and persuasive speaker. Create your own public speaking style that is comfortable, confident, and conversational. We will focus on organizational techniques, handling visual aids effectively, eye contact, and body language. We will also discuss adapting to virtual public speaking, and give each student an opportunity for feedback in a very supportive atmosphere. Instructor: Nicole Graves

Nicole Graves

Nikki Graves has a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, San Diego, and is currently working on completing her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Walden University. She has taught psychology and humanities courses at Butte College and Santiago Canyon College, both in California. In addition to teaching in front of her classes, she has enjoyed writing and giving speeches, toasts, and presentations of all varieties since high school, and she is excited to share her skills and enthusiasm for public speaking with you!
