Warming Winter Soups

Winter is definitely the time for warm, comforting soups. In this hands on cooking class we will learn how to make a wonderful vegetable stock as well as how to create and use easy alternatives to homemade stock. We will make curried butternut soup, creamy sweet potato and parsnip soup with fresh thyme, barley mushroom soup, and split pea soup with smoked chicken sausage. To accompany our soup we will also make some fresh focaccia. All of the recipes will be easy and straight forward enough for a beginner to repeat at home. Come hungry!
