Jane Austen: Early Works *NEW*

"Run mad as often as you choose, but do not faint.” Jane Austen's novels are beloved works of literature, known for her richly written women and romantic plots, but they are also full of satire and a wonderful sense of humor. In this class, we'll be reading and discussing Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, and lesser known writings from Austen's younger years, digging into the context of her biting social commentary, her satirical wit, and the literary genres of her time. Expect lots of laughter! All students are welcome regardless of experience with Austen. Instructor: Esme Rabin
