Master Your Cooking Skills: Embrace Your Inner Chef

Master the art of cooking by using fundamental skills and techniques. This class covers different approaches in everything, including: knife skills, proper seasoning, and plating food like a pro. Each night we will prepare, cook, and enjoy an appetizer, soup, entree, side dish, and dessert, with different proteins including chicken, beef, pork, and seafood. Week 2 (Sep. 26): Cranberry Almond Salad, Creamy Cauliflower Soup, Pork Tenderloin with Bacon Onion Sauce, Double Baked Potato Puree, Banana Dulce De Leche Mousse Pie

Week 3 (Oct. 3): Quinoa Salad, Beef Stew, Steak with Red Wine Sauce, Braised Vegetables, Apple Cobbler

Week 4 (Oct. 10): Bruschetta with Various Spread, Sweet Potato Apple Ginger Soup with Lemon Oil, Crispy Cod with Grape Sauce, Saffron Mushroom Risotto, and Banana Fig Crisp

Ploy Khunisorn

Ploy Khunisorn is a native of Thailand. She went to Suan Dusit International Culinary School while she was working as a financial analyst in Bangkok. She came to the USA to do Master’s Degree in Sustainability at Harvard University and Master’s Degree in Education at Cambridge College. She started teaching Thai cooking classes at CCAE since 2014. She is also a senior program manager for the culinary arts, business, technology, home, and science at CCAE. With her love of traveling over 30 countries, she has learned varieties of cuisine around the world. With her passion for cooking and baking, she has expanded her repertoire teaching Japanese, Korean, vegan, gluten-free, pastry, and more.
