A Conversation about Male Sexuality: Enigmas and Revelations *NEW*

In this informative workshop, Dr. Anita Hoffer, former Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Director of Research in Urology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, will review the basics of male sexual function as well as erection, semen, orgasm and ejaculation, condoms, and statistics about sexual habits of American men. We will discuss the meaning of the word ‘normal’, an elusive and not very useful concept that can mean different things to different people, and we will reframe the meaning of the words sexuality and ‘successful sex’. Anita P. Hoffer

PhD, Ed.D.

Dr. Hoffer worked at Harvard Medical School for over 25 years, where she served as an Associate Professor and Director of Research in Urology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital; and then in the bio-pharmaceutical industry on women's health subjects. Her workshops address older women's sexual concerns and sexual literacy; she teaches health care providers about the special needs of this population and educates lay audiences on female sexuality and aging. Dr. Hoffer also does sexual coaching. Her degrees are in reproductive biology, sexology and sexuality education. She is a Planned Parenthood volunteer and member of AASECT, SSSS, SSTAR and ARHP.
