Introduction to Chess

This class is for players with no chess background, but will also help intermediate and advanced players improve their technique and skills. We will explore openings, traps, pitfalls, and puzzles, all designed to build your repertoire so you can hold your own against any opponent. All boards and pieces will be provided. Carpenter; board gaming enthusiast

Alex Lasky has a BA in Psychology from Univeristy of Massachusetts Boston and works as a small jobs carpenter in and around the greater Boston area. Alex was taught how to play chess by his dad at the age of 4, and started defeating him at the age of 10. Alex is a life long board gaming enthusiast. In his free time, he can be found at conventions or Knight Moves Cafe teaching others how to play games.
