Basics of Building a Tiny House *NEW*

Are you interested in building a tiny house but don't know where to start? This workshop will provide an overview to the building process, and will include an overview of how to read blueprints, the materials and tools that may be involved in the building process, and a hands-on component where the class will work together to layout & frame a wall/corner and fabricate a plywood box or two. You will not make a tiny house in this workshop, but you will leave with a better understanding of the skills you will need and whether you will need to hire a professional for certain aspects. The goal is to set you on a path where you will find the self-confidence required to fulfill your tiny house ambitions. Instructor: Carl Spagnoli

As a professional custom woodworker, Carl has been making things in woods of all kinds for over three decades, including furniture, doors, windows, and architectural restoration, with the occasional antique repair as well. His approach has always included a balance of traditional hand tool skills with an appropriate blend of power tool woodworking in order to honor the very long tradition of woodworking that spans at least 3000 years of humankind.
