Made in Italy: A Short History *NEW*

From apparel to design to lifestyle “Made in Italy” is ubiquitous. Synonymous with high quality products destined for mass, albeit not standardized consumption, the unique “Made in Italy” brand has an interesting history. We will follow its birth from nineteenth-century origins, through Fascism and the post-war period, and its metamorphosis in the global economy. Topics of discussion will include the pioneering work of fashion designer and activist Rosa Genoni, vespa motor-scooters, and the controversial Benetton advertising campaigns.
