The Art of Filipino Merienda: Afternoon Snack *NEW*

History of the Filipino "merienda" was derived from the Spaniards in their colonization of the island nation of the Philippines. We’ll discuss the importance and culture of merienda. We’ll make lumpia, pancit canton, ensaymada (soft, moist, cheesy bread), kamote (caramelized sweet potatoes), and ginataan (Filipino warm dessert). We’ll serve with warm chocolate rice porridge.
