Cables and Colorwork in Knitting *NEW*

In this intermediate knitting course, we will cover the basics of various traditions in cablework such as Aran, Austrian (Twisted Traveling Cables) and contemporary takes on cables. Once comfortable with these new skills we will move onto the basics of Stranded, Mosaic, and Intarsia colorwork. We will also discuss the difference between various fibers and how to choose wisely for each project. With your newly acquired skills you will be able to expand your knitting skills to add variety to those birthday and holiday gifts for everyone you know, as well as special projects for yourself. Sarah Guérin

Sarah is a working artist in Wakefield MA where she currently operates the bespoke bootmaking studio Saboteuse. She holds a BFA and B. Architecure from the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently a Vice Chair of the Boston RISD Alumni group. Sarah also attended the London College of Fashion’s Cordwainers College of Shoemaking. In 2017 The Knitting Guild Association certified Sarah with “Master Knitter” status, she has also been a design finalist in Vogue Knitting Live! design competitions. Sarah knits every night @knitbynight and can often be found knitting at the many sporting events of her 3 children.
