ESL Advanced Conversation: Let's Talk About the News *Online*

The news is filled with very important events, from American politics to the world health crisis and the worsening environmental disaster. And there is good news too, including the way people are getting involved to face these major events. And then there are entertaining news from the world of sport, but also the arts and, of course, celebrities. Discussing the news is a great way to improve your English and get to understand the events better. In this class, we will talk about news events, the trends that they are part of and their historic context. We will cover grammar, vocabulary, idioms and pronunciation, and also develop your fluency in spoken English. We’ll make international friends and understand the situation in the US better!
