Drawing and Painting Important Historical Women & People of Color *NEW* *Online*

Learn about iconic figures by painting their faces! In this class, we will work primarily in pencil and watercolors, creating images both of known faces like Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and Mahatma Gandhi, and also lesser-known visages like Medger Evers, Rachel Carson, Kalpana Chawla, and Sonia Sotomayor. (Students will vote on the selections in first class.) Discussions about their contributions will be part of the curriculum. Instructor: Eric Bornstein
