Sunlight on the Pond: Summer Haiku *NEW*

Haiku is a short nature poem of the present moment; of direct, immediate experience. We will learn about haiku: its history, form and structure, and read many haiku both famous and not so famous. Using easy writing prompts, we will try our hands at writing haiku in this fun and supportive workshop atmosphere. The focus here is summer nature images of sunlight, moonlight, beaches, birds, seashells, ponds, forest walks and other themes offered by Participants. Students will receive the instructor's most recent book, Speed of Light, published in April, 2021, and a small writing notebook. Instructor: Jeanne Martin
