ESL: Intensive Beginner Levels 3 & 4 Integrated Skills - 54 hours

This is an integrated skills class for students who speak a little English. Focus will be on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, spelling, and simple conversation. We will review the grammar points covered in Beginner Level I and II, as well as articles, nouns and pronouns, the past tense, and the future tense. We will study the entire textbook. It includes some modal auxiliaries, prepositions, comparatives, superlatives, and an introduction to the perfect tenses. This class is equivalent to CEFR A2. Instructor: John Coleman O'Donnell

John Coleman O'Donnell

John was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Montreal, PQ. His educational background includes a BA in political science and an MA in political theory from Notre Dame University in South Bend, IN. He has been teaching ESL for 15 years in the Boston area. John is married to a Brazilian woman and has visited Brazil three times. He is learning Portuguese and completely empathizes with second language learners, since Portuguese is not an easy language to learn!
