Vocal Technique for Musical Theatre *In-Person* *NEW*
This course will demystify the process of singing, from breath to sound, by using vocalization exercises and gaining practical knowledge of the voice's mechanisms. We will utilize that knowledge while we perform musical theatre's best repertoire (solo, duet, and/or ensemble numbers, depending on each person’s comfort level). You’ll come to understand oft-heard terms like "belt," "falsetto,” and "straight tone” and be able to create them in your voice as well as hear and identify them in others. You will also learn about your unique instrument and its operation, empowering you to become a more confident and informed singer. Instructor: Lea Peterson
