Spanish: Beginner Conversation

This class is for students that have completed our four beginner levels or the equivalent of it and are comfortable with using the present tense and have some knowledge of preterite and future. Reinforce your basic knowledge of the structure of Spanish, develop fluency with the past tenses, acquire new vocabulary, learn about culture, and practice with lively activities and conversations. Carlos Cruz writes: I was born in Arroyo in Southern Puerto Rico ashore the Caribbean Sea. Puerto Rico being part of the Commonwealth of the United States. My education was completed through the public system inæmy hometown and then at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and the Fundaci-n Ortega y Gassett in Spain where I earned a degree in Business Administration Managerial Economics. I love travelling around the world and have visited many countries in Europe and Latin America. I came to Boston in 1997 after working several years for the Government at the Puerto Rico Planning Board. In Boston, I had several professional experiences in the Financial and Investment fields for companies such as Mellon and Bank of America. My teaching experience began in 1997 at Berlitz and in 2000 I was nominated Teacher of the Year in the New England District. From there, I started to teach Spanish at Simmons College as well as Spanish for Business and Social Services Professionals at the Harvard Business School. In recent years I have participated in different language programs and taught at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Genzyme Pharmaceutical and Arnold Worldwide, to name a few. I started teaching Spanish at Northeastern University in 2009.

Agustin graduated from the Superior Normal School of Yucatan in Mexico in the area of education, is a Spanish teacher with experience of more than 10 years teaching the language in Mexico in the levels of Secondary, High School and academies for adults and in the United States where he has served in CCAE and also supports secondary students, business people and others, providing tutoring services.
