• • Drawing board (Can make your own out of chipboard, light wt. wood or buy a clipboard): 16” x 20” Maximum (can be smaller)

  • Pad of white drawing paper (Strathmore is a good brand) 14” x 17” or 15” x 18”

  • 9” x 12” white drawing paper

  • Optional: Pad of white smooth Bristol Paper (good with oil pastels) 9” x 12” or 11” x 17”

  • Optional: Toned charcoal paper (Pad with various colors) 11” x 14”, or 9”x 12” (To be used with pastels & charcoals)

  • Ebony pencil or 8B pencil

  • #2 pencil or an HB pencil

  • ‘H’ pencil

  • Kneaded eraser

  • Pink pearl eraser

  • pencil sharpener

  • Vine charcoal (Medium or soft)

  • Compressed charcoal (Medium or soft)

  • #7 Paper Stomp. (Extra Large)

Colored Media:

• Oil pastels: basic set: required•

• Choice of one medium: Colored pencils Spectracolor or Prismacolor brand (Individual or set) Or Soft pastels:Recommended brands are Sennelier or Rembrant

• Collect photographs or cut out photos of landscape scenes.

• Optional: Conte crayon: sepia, burnt umber

For working out of doors:

• Drawing board

• Hat, bug spray, suntan lotion

• I-phone, backpack

• Folding easel (optional)

• Small stool, mat or towel to sit on
