Come learn the techniques and tips for making your own Chinese dumplings and wontons. We will serve our dumplings in an authentic wonton soup preparation, boiled and served with dipping sauces, and also as crispy pot-stickers. From traditional fillings of pork with hearty napa cabbage and beef with Chinese chive to more elegant pairings that add seafood and pea tendrils, we’ll pinch, squeeze, and pleat our way to a succulent and satisfying meal. Ingredients will include meat, shellfish, & soy. 

Date Night Cooking Classes: Asian Fusion Cuisine for a Couple

Join Jason and learn how to incorporate new techniques with unfamiliar ingredients into your cooking. He will put his spin on seasonal ingredients to create a unique menu for the occasion. We’ll learn how to make an Asian-inspired appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Spend your date night with your beloved and cook memorable dishes with an emphasis on artistic plating technique. Chinese cuisine is much more than the generic takeout from down the street. Its traditions range from tongue-numbing Szechuan to succulent Cantonese seafood delights, comforting dumplings and wontons, and beyond. The winter weather and seasonal ingredients will provide inspiration for the dishes we create in this session focused on the classic technique of stir-frying. We'll cover staple Chinese ingredients, knife skills, and preparations for various traditional and modern pairings of meats and vegetables. Note: Ingredients will include soy and shellfish.
