Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. In person readings will take place at 56 Brattle on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $5, tickets are available at the door.


Izzy Casey

Izzy Casey's poems are published in the Yale Review, the Columbia Review, Bat City Review, Black Warrior Review and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and has received fellowships from the Poetry Foundation and the Giancarlo DiTrapano Foundation for Literature & the Arts. She lives in New York City.


Annaka Saari

Annaka Saari is a writer from Michigan. She earned her MFA from Boston University, where she now works as the administrator for the Creative Writing Program. She also serves as managing editor of Solstice Literary Magazine and a poetry reader for The Los Angeles Review. A recipient of a Scotti Merrill Award for Poetry and a Florence Engel Randall Graduate Fiction Prize, her work has appeared in or is forthcoming in The Southern Review, The Missouri Review, Pleiades, Image, and other publications.


Milica Mijatović
Milica Mijatović is a Serb poet, translator, and author of War Food, winner of the 2022 Fool for Poetry International Chapbook Competition. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University. Her poetry appears or is forthcoming in Rattle, Salamander, Plume, The Louisville Review, and elsewhere. She serves as the poetry editor for Consequence.
