Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. In person readings will take place at 56 Brattle on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $3, tickets are available at the door.

Regie Gibson

Literary Performer and Educator, Regie Gibson, has lectured and performed widely in the U.S., Cuba and Europe. Representing the U.S., Regie competed for and received the Absolute Poetry Award in Monfalcone and The Europa in Versi Award in LaGuardia di Como, Italy. He has served as a consultant for the NEA’s “How Art Works” commission and the “Mere Distinction of Color”: a permanent exhibit focusing on American slavery and the U.S. Constitution at James Madison’s Montpelier home. He’s a Brother Thomas Fellow and has received two Live Arts Boston Grants to develop his first play, The Juke: A Blues Bacchae. He serves on the boards of the New England Poetry Club and Grub Street Writers and teaches at Clark University.

Bianca Stone

Bianca Stone is the author of the poetry collections Someone Else's Wedding Vows (Tin House Book / Octopus Books, 2014), The Möbius Strip Club of Grief (Tin House, 2018), What is Otherwise Infinite (Tin House, 2022). Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic and The Nation. She hosts Ode & Psyche Podcast, and lives in Vermont where she is Creative Director at the Ruth Stone House.
