Haute Cuisine: The Art of Food

Call for Art: Haute Cuisine

Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) invites teachers and students in the visual arts to submit work produced in the past three years for inclusion in our 2022 spring exhibition, Haute Cuisine: The Art of Food.

We welcome any and all CCAE students and faculty to submit works of art relating to, focusing on and exploring the ideas of food. Any two dimensional medium with a maximum side of 36" will be considered. Three dimensional work may be considered on a case-by-case basis (wall hanging three dimensional work can have a relief height maximum of 4" and can weigh no more than five pounds). Students and instructors may submit up to three works for our consideration.

Dates and Deadlines

Submission Deadline: Thursday, March 31 at 5pm

Selected Works Notification: Monday, April 11 by 5pm

Artwork Drop-off Deadline: Saturday, April 23 at 42 Brattle Street

Opening reception: Thursday, April 28, 5:30-7:30pm at 42 Brattle Street. Free and open to the public

Pick up your artwork: Between Saturday, June 25 and Saturday, July 2

Please note: only apply if you are able to work within these dates


Work must be the original creation of the artist and completed while actively enrolled in one of CCAE’s visual art classes in the past three years.

If selected for exhibition, artwork will need to be delivered ready to install. Paintings and framed work should have a hanging wire.
