Jooé Kim
Jooé Kim is a fiber arts instructor specializing in knitting and sewing. She has taught at local yarn stores and youth development programs. She believes knitting is a super power. It is a faithful companion through life and has a magical way of healing and building community. An elderly neighbor taught her how to knit during her childhood in Nigeria. As an adult, she found herself knitting as a form of therapy during stressful periods. Jooé embraces slow fashion and loves that yarn is a fiber which can be used over and over. When she tires of a sweater, she’ll unravel it and knit a cowl. You’ll find her knitting neutral colored sweaters and neon hats. Knitted animals are also one of her passions. She is delighted to teach at CCAE and help grow the knitting community so more people can enjoy this lifelong gift.
