Kathryn Welter
Kathryn Welter, Ph.D., is a scholar, educator, and arts administrator with a deep commitment to music education and community engagement. She holds degrees from Harvard University, Eastman School of Music, and Augustana University. Welter has taught at Harvard University, Boston University, and Eastman School of Music. As Executive Director of the Composers Conference, she has led a world-renowned summer festival, spearheading fundraising, program development, and mentorship initiatives. She has also directed operations for The Boston Camerata and served as Assistant Dean at Harvard Summer School. A published musicologist specializing in Baroque repertoire, Welter is passionate about fostering artistic growth through performance, scholarship, and outreach.
