Melanie D. Reeves

Melanie D. Reeves works in education and is an aspiring writer. Her play Boxing with Mom was featured in “The Boston Globe Magazine” and was also reprinted in the textbook
Communications 2000 for teachers. She appeared on Talk of New England with Jim Braude to discuss her play, and she also created a holiday-themed word search puzzle for “The Boston Herald.” Reeves also served as Editor-in-Chief for both her high school and college newspapers (“The Reporter at Boston High” and “The Voice of Mount Ida College.”)
Reeves holds a master’s degree in literature and creative Writing from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing from Northeastern University. Reeves also holds an associate’s degree in communications, which includes Media Writing from Mount Ida College, and she will be awarded a second bachelor’s degree in journalism from Suffolk University in May 2026.
