Melanie D. Reeves
Melanie D. Reeves is a writer who works in higher education. Her play Boxing with Mom appeared in “The Boston Globe Magazine,” was reprinted in Communications 2000, a textbook for teachers, and was discussed on Talk of New England with Jim Braude. Reeves holds a master’s degree in literature & creative Writing from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing from Northeastern University; she will be awarded a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Suffolk University in May 2026. Some of Reeves’ favorite writers include Charles W. Chesnutt, Dashiell Hammett, Lorraine Hansberry, and August Wilson. Reeves is a foodie who loves Southern cuisine and who loves spending time with her 15 nieces and nephews.
