Mirena Bagur

Mirena Bagur was born and raised in a small town Metković, Dubrovnik-Neretva county in Dalmatia, Croatia. Passionate about Croatian traditions, such as harvests, her earliest participation included riding a donkey to transport the grapes from vineyards to grandfather’s cellar.
Mirena cofounded Croatian Premium Wine Imports, Inc., to educate the US market about the indigenous Croatian wines and import them for distribution and online retail. She collaborates with Croatian Chamber/Wine Association, National Tourist Board, and 45 wineries (101+ labels portfolio). Mirena is on the Board of The Global AVA, an international alliance of artisan vintners. She teaches at Boston and Commonwealth wine schools and holds public/private, virtual/in-person Masterclasses on Croatian wine & cuisine nationally.
Mirena obtained master's degree in international trade from University of Zagreb, Croatia, School of Economics, and had a career in global health tech.
