Sendus Majanni

Sendus Majanni is the Public Affairs Specialist at the Embassy of The Syrian Arab Republic in Washington D.C. She began teaching with CCAE in 2024 during her master's degree at Harvard Divinity School where she studied "Religion, Ethics, and Politics." Sendus has taught original courses for CCAE on "Prison Literature of The Arab World," "Feminist Thought of The Middle East," and "Are Revolutions a Good Idea? Theory and Case Studies Across History," as well as Arabic Language for beginners. Before Harvard Sendus obtained her Bachelor's of Arts from The American University of Beirut in Arabic Language and Literature with a minor in Human Rights and Transitional Justice. Her pedagogy is influenced by 10 years of refugeehood in Lebanon, 9 years of studying prison literature, 20 years of being a student, and 27 years of Aleppian food, culture, and music.
