Tools: You do not need to bring tools. All tools necessary to make the project are provided.

EVERYONE WILL MAKE THE SAME BASSWOOD BOX TO GET STARTED, REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE. ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE FIRST BOX YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF OPTIONS FOR MAKING SUBSEQUENT BOXES.

Material you will need for the first class:

• 2 pieces basswood, 1⁄4” x 4” x 24”
• 1 piece basswood, 1⁄8” x 6” x 24”

Locally I have purchased basswood from Dick Blick and Artists and Craftsmen- both in Central Square, Cambridge. You can also purchase the wood online in a variety of places. Material you will need to finish your first project: a piece of wood for the lid. We will discuss options in class.
