In-Person Safety Guidelines

CCAE has adopted the following guidelines to ensure the safety of students, instructors, and staff in our in-person classes.

In-Person Safety Guidelines

Vaccination:

Students enrolled in in-person fall classes must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to a CCAE staff member prior to attending their first class. CCAE staff will be present at the registration desks or at the entrance of the buildings and will be ready to check your vaccination status when you arrive for your class. Our staff is 100% vaccinated.

Proof of vaccination includes:

  • CDC issued COVID-19 vaccine card

  • Image of your COVID-19 vaccination card

  • Email confirmation of second shot (if applicable) from vaccination clinic (CVS, Walgreens, etc.)

Students who are registered for multiple classes will be asked to show their proof of vaccination once for each different class they are attending.

If you are feeling sick we ask that you do not enter CCAE buildings or attend in-person classes.

Masks:

Masks are required based on City of Cambridge Public Health Department Guidelines.

Physical Distancing Measures:

  • Class capacity will be limited depending on the size of the classroom space.

  • The number of classes in each building at a given time is limited.

  • Buildings are closed to all except registered students.

  • Students should depart as soon as their class ends.

  • Students may only enter a classroom if they are attending a class held in that space.

Hygiene Measures:

  • All students must show proof of vaccination to attend an in-person class at CCAE.

  • Masks are required based on City of Cambridge Public Health Department Guidelines.

  • Students, instructors, staff, and models cannot enter buildings if exhibiting any signs of illness.

  • No eating in classrooms except for cooking classes.

  • Personal water bottles may be filled up at our water bubblers. Paper cups will not be available at this time.

  • Doors and windows will be kept open for airflow when weather and classroom conditions allow.

  • Classrooms will be disinfected between each class.

  • Students and instructors are encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering a classroom.

  • We have increased cleaning throughout the building, especially in high-touch areas and bathrooms.

Travel Guidelines:

All students, instructors, staff, and models must adhere to Massachusetts State Travel guidelines.

General Guidelines:
Any students, faculty, or staff who test positive for COVID-19 are asked to notify CCAE.
