Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. In person readings will take place at 56 Brattle on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $5, tickets are available at the door.

David Semanki

David Semanki's poetry has appeared in a variety of publications, including The New Yorker, The Yale Review, The American Poetry Review, The New York Times Book Review, and The Paris Review. He is the literary executor for the estate of poets Linda Gregg and Jack Gilbert. Ghost Camera is his debut collection.

Jason Schneiderman

Jason Schneiderman is the author of five books of poems, including, most recently, Self Portrait of Icarus as a Country on Fire. His poetry and essays have appeared in American Poetry Review, Poetry London, and The Penguin Book of the Sonnet and elsewhere. He is Professor of English at the CUNY’s BMCC and teaches in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. His book of essays, Nothingism: Poetry at the End of Print Culture, will be published by the University of Michigan Press Poets on Poetry imprint in 2025.
