Gregory Leschishin

Gregory Leschishin was born in the city where Rock and Roll was discovered, Cleveland! Besides being a chart fanatic, Gregory was a disc jockey before he was determined to work in Hollywood. For close to five years, he was one of the musicologists that actually determined the biggest hits that the USA listened to. The charts were determined by airplay and sales that were determined by a method that only few people had control over. Hundreds of songs were released by many independent record labels seeking out the opportunity to get a hit. Some were natural hits...and others were just by accident! Cash Box Magazine was one of the prominent music publications that Dick Clark, Solid Gold, Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40 used to count down the hits.
