Growing up in Taipei, long ago, I saw groups of people exercising in elegant movements, with bare fists or sabers. But my impression from that time on practicing Tai-Chi was the mockery of outsiders mimicking the practitioners. Decades later, in a different land, through master Tai-Chun Pan, who has a pedigree of sound lineage, I reconnected to the art. At the beginning, it was merely to satisfy my curiosity, then became a training for health, and finally a discipline. It took years to perceive the essences of power to relax, leverage force from shifting, source energy through the waist, moving meditation, philosophy ... and I am still just scratching the surface. So for me it is a life-long journey of learning and sharing.
