Lori Ayotte
Lori Ayotte, an English literature teacher, specializes in the works of authors Jane Austen and Geoffrey Chaucer. Her master’s thesis, "Misusing Austen: From Women's Rights Champion to Romantic Icon," examined various spinoffs of Austen’s novels. Before she became a teacher, Ayotte worked in journalism and in public relations. She continues to write, and has published her work in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. She also has read her essays on Rhode Island’s public radio station.
