Sonia Voskuil
Sonia Voskuil's early violin studies with Louise Wear and Robin Bushman led to Tanglewood and the Longy School of Music lunder the direction of Roman Totenburg. Her primary teachers were BSO violinist Gerald Gelbloom, violin/viola, Margaret Rhode, piano and Judith Ross/Richard Cornell, solfege/theory. She earned an ALB with honors from the Harvard University Extension School. At CCAE she studied cello with Cynthia Forbes and violin teacher training with Janice Tucker-Rhoda. While at the Suzuki Institute of Boston under Donald Becker, she applied authentic Suzuki principles to individuals and groups. Recent performances with Melrose Symphony, Harvard Musical Association Reading Orchestra and the New England Philharmonic. Violins by luthiers Duane M. Voskuil and Walter E. Colton.
