Now it's time to practice expressing yourself in more complex situations, to voice opinions and share points of views with your classmates, to increase your vocabulary and engage fully in the cultural context of Spanish. Michelle N. Abadia

Michelle Nicole Abadía was born and raised in Puerto Rico. The youngest of 3 sisters, she had completely lost her sight by age 5, and can speak and write English, Spanish, and French with fluency. Michelle Abadía has a bachelor's degree in French literature and music, and a minor in International studies with focus on Latin America, from Boston College. She subsequently obtained a Masters degree in French literature from Tufts university, and a Masters in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. Ms. Abadía worked as a court language interpreter for the Massachusetts judicial System for over 4 years. Then she began her career as a college professor and instructor of adult education at Framingham State University, Roxbury Community College, Babson, College, MassBay Community college, Lasell College, Emerson College, Brookline adult education, and Newton Adult education. For the last year and a half, Ms. AbadÍa has embarked on a career as a full time musician, having released 3 CDs in various styles of music.

Gemma Sanchis Ramis

Gemma was born in Valencia, Spain. After getting her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, she decided to study a Postgraduate Program in Spanish Language Pedagogy, since she has always combined an interest for both communication and teaching Spanish. She moved to Boston in 2016 and started working at an education non-profit, where she managed the production of Spanish Language Arts content and resources for K-12 students and teachers. Currently she works as an Associate Editor at Vista Higher Learning, a world-languages publishing house. She joined the CCAE as a Spanish instructor in 2018.
