Observing Coastal Shorebirds: Common Species and How to Identify Them *In-Person* *NEW*
In this workshop, students will learn about the shorebirds commonly found throughout the coast of Massachusetts in late spring to early fall. Students will dive into the habitats, behaviors, and external anatomy of shorebirds before learning about specific species. This workshop will cover identification tools available to bird-watchers, including the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Merlin, and include activities to prepare for observation and identification while out in nature.
