Abstract Art: Contemporary Approaches

Fun, innovative, and challenging, abstract painting is an exciting way to express yourself. This class will begin by teaching the fundamentals of design, composition, and color. Throughout the class, we will examine recent developments in the world of abstract art, including the paintings of artists like Amy Sillman, Paul Kremer, Nicole Eisenman, and more. We'll work on a variety of fun projects and you will go home with the skills to tackle your own abstract paintings! Students should take at least one term of abstract painting prior to enrolling in this class. Instructors: Tim McCool

Tim McCool is a Boston-based visual artist, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Tim attended Boston College for his undergraduate and went on to earn his Master's degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
