Intro to Intaglio / Drypoint Printmaking *In-Person*
Intaglio printing means printing ink from the incised marks in a plate or matrix. This is a course for beginning students seeking thorough exposure to intaglio printmaking without any of the nasty chemicals. We will give special attention to a broad array of intaglio applications: drypoint, found objects, collage, and monoprint techniques. The intaglio line is like no other in the sense that it becomes embedded in the fibers of the soaked paper. The end result is a deep, rich, and unique mark. Instructor: Jo Elliott Gutierrez
