Wall Street Bootcamp *In-Person*

This is a fast-paced course covering the fundamentals of investing. Appropriate for beginning as well as experienced investors, students will learn how to allocate assets, research investments online, pick appropriate securities, and monitor performance. We’ll cover Mutual Funds and ETFs and distinguish their advantages and disadvantages. The course will discuss how to successfully build diversified equity and fixed-income portfolios. We’ll consider the pitfalls of Target Retirement Funds as well as the risks inherent in Bond ETFs and Bond Mutual Funds. Lastly, students develop skills as an amateur “equity analyst” and learn how to assess the performance of a professional mutual fund manager or advisor. Instructor: Michael Stern

Michael Stern

Michael Stern is a Registered Investment Adviser who began his Financial Services career with Merrill Lynch. A 20-year resident of Arlington, MA, Michael has two children in Arlington Schools, is a Town Meeting Member, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Michael holds the Series 65 Investment Adviser license and is a graduate of Bryant University’s Financial Planning program. Michael specializes in working with individuals, families, and small businesses on their education, retirement, and wealth management needs.
