Public Speaking Workshop *In-Person*
Whether you're delivering a presentation at work, school, or your best friend's wedding, or simply want to be confident when presenting ideas, the best way to get comfortable with public speaking is to practice. In this workshop class, you'll have the opportunity to present both impromptu and prepared speeches, followed by in-depth comments and discussion. We will look at body language, speech structure, and applying the “three appeals” of persuasion (ethos, logos, and pathos) to connect with your audience. Additionally, we will review some basic techniques of argumentation and debate, as they relate to becoming a confident and engaging speaker. Most importantly, we'll have fun in a supportive and encouraging environment. All are welcome. Instructor: Adam Tomasi
