Summer Cocktails with Sparkling and Still Wines
You don’t need high-proof and expensive spirits to mix up show-stopping cocktails. In this class we’ll make delicious wine cocktails using moderately priced sparkling and still wines, as well as fruits, juices and other spirits. The cocktails will include a classic sparkling wine cocktail made with bitters, a variation on a Royal Kir, an elderberry flavored Hugo, a strawberry Frosé, plus assorted wine fizzes made with interesting amoros, still wines and fruit. Dagmar Smith has had a lifelong love for the culinary arts. A graduate of Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, she is classically trained, and has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. Dagmar teaches at several adult education programs in the Boston area, and also offers private lessons both for individuals wanting to develop their skills, and for small groups organizing cooking lesson/dinner party events.
