Marathi and Konkani: Next Door Neighbors *In-Person* *NEW*
Marathi and Konkani people make up the majority in Maharashtra state in India. They live in the same neighborhoods—the same buildings—and make the same foods, but the flavor profiles are completely different. In this class, we will make two dishes Marathi-style and the same two dishes Konkani style to explore the effect of spices and techniques on the resulting flavor of the dish. Michael McComas has a degree in creative writing and mechanical engineering. A graduate of the Clarion Writers’ Workshop, he has been an Associate Editor at Aboriginal SF and Avesta Blues Publishing. He is a founding member of The Mechanics Writing Workshop in Cambridge.
