Gift Weaving: Make Your Own Coasters *In-Person* *NEW*
In this workshop, students will make homemade frame looms and weave small coasters. The workshop will cover the weaving process from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to use up yarn scraps and make handmade gifts for the holidays! Loom materials will be provided, and students should bring their own yarn or fabric scraps. Molly Broekman
Molly Broekman is an artist and designer from Detroit, Michigan. She is a graduate of Wayne State University, where she majored in Fashion Design and minored in Textile Design and Art History. She is a dual-citizen of the United States and the Netherlands, and her work often takes inspiration from her travels. Weaving is her favorite fiber art, and she typically utilizes secondhand materials in her woven clothing designs. Her work can be viewed at http://mollybroekman.com/.
