This review class focuses on reinforcing students' understanding and correct usage of the two main past tenses in Italian: Passato Prossimo and Imperfetto. Students will have plenty of opportunities to practice and become confident in using these tenses with useful and fun activities. Recommended for high beginner and intermediate students (CEFR A2 and above).

Giovanni M. Palmarini

Giovanni is a native Italian, born in Rome and raised in the beautiful surroundings of the Roman Castles area. Over the years he lived in Northern Italy, Australia, France, UK and Belgium, and moved to Boston in 2024. He holds a DITALS certification to teach Italian to foreigners as well as a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting & Translation in English, French and Italian from the University of Bologna. He enjoys sharing his language and cultural background with his students in a fun and relaxed classroom environment. Giovanni is also a musician and he recently completed a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Saxophone at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan. In a previous life he worked as a communication officer for the European Union and as a flight attendant for a European airline.
