That Rocks! An Introduction to Geology *In-Person* *NEW*

Unearth a new world as we dig into rocks, minerals, and landscapes! In this class you will learn basic skills for understanding and identifying the geologic materials and landscapes that surround you. You’ll learn how we categorize rocks and why, and what these abstract categorizations mean in the larger world. You will get to work hands-on with physical samples of rocks and minerals, and learn specific tricks for identifying some common ones in our daily lives. We will also go out and see if we can identify any rocks and minerals in our urban environment together. Instructor: Sam Bovard
