Jorge Mata Otero
Jorge is originally from Central Mexico (Guanajuato), where he grew up and attended university. After moving to Texas, he became a bilingual educator through an alternative certification program and taught for 9 years in Dallas, Texas. Seeking to advance his career, Jorge decided to pursue a path toward educational leadership. He moved to the Cambridge area in July to begin his master’s degree in education at Harvard. This semester, Jorge is excited to join the Cambridge Center for Adult Education as an instructor. His goal is to continue his contributions to the field of education by helping adults accomplish their Spanish learning objectives while collaborating with and learning from all of us. He looks forward to supporting our work and, more importantly, to meeting his students and making this a great learning experience for everybody.
