Rafael Abrahams
Rafael Abrahams is a PhD candidate in American History at Brandeis University. He studies Native American land claims in the 1920s United States, with a particular interest in Pueblo lands in New Mexico and Lakota/Sioux lands in South Dakota. Rafael is interested in how Native petitioners shaped their legal initiatives in response to local geographies and histories, and the intersections between mineral extraction industries, Native art markets, and the law.
