How Did We Get Here? And Where Are We Headed? *In-Person* *NEW*

We are a divided nation, headed toward yet another "most important election of our lifetime." But why, and how did it come to this? In this five-week course, we take a multidisciplinary survey approach to these unsettling questions, examining American polarization through the lenses of culture and media, economics, the law, politics, and race. Each week draws on seminal data and perspectives from one of these disciplines, building toward a richer, more nuanced understanding of where we are and how we got here — and perhaps where we're going.
